Singer Yohani's pain on the situation in Sri Lanka: Said - My country is going through a bad time, at the moment we need help

The situation in the neighboring country of Sri Lanka is not good at this time. People in Sri Lanka are facing economic and political crisis. Sri Lankan singer Yohani Diloka de Silva, who went viral with the song 'Manike Mange Hithe', is currently in India. He has expressed concern over the situation in his country. He said that like everyone, I also love my country very much. I am in Mumbai but my parents, sisters, friends and musician friends with whom I have worked are all in Sri Lanka.

Last month Yohani and some musicians did a project. In that they raised 10 lakh rupees. Yohani posted a video with an emotional appeal to her fans for help. In the post, she wrote- 'Being the ambassador of my country on the international stage and seeing the seriousness of the situation, I want to sing for the people's return home.'


A song opened the door of Bollywood for Yohani


Yohani Diloca de Silva, 28, was born on 30 July 1993 in Colombia. Yohani's father Prasanna de Silva was a former army officer, Major General. While mother and wife Dinithi de Silva was a cabin crew member in Sri Lankan Airlines. Yohani is recognized as a Sri Lankan Singer, Songwriter, Rapper, Music Producer and YouTuber. He started his music career with YouTube. In Sri Lanka, she had become famous with her 'Deviange Bare' but got worldwide recognition from 'Manike Mange Hithe'. After this song, he also got offers from Bollywood.


Learning Hindi to make a career in Bollywood


Yohani is the first female singer from Sri Lanka to have 3.4 million subscribers on YouTube. She became so famous with 'Manike Mange Hithe' that she started getting many offers from Bollywood. She is learning Hindi to establish her career in Bollywood. Yohani has sung the female version of the title track of last year's film 'Shiddat'. Yohani shared the stage with Salman Khan in 'Bigg Boss-15'. His song 'Manike Mange Hithe' sung in Sinhalese was so well received in India that it has also been dubbed into Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Assamese, Gujarati and Hindi. On the international front, the song has been dubbed in Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, English and German languages.
